Last year we brought our Super Soakers to Moor Park Preston, not for a Boot Camp but to help motivate all of the Pink Shining Stars who turned out to help raise money for research to defeat the C word for Cancer Research UK.
Last year we saw 30 + Ozonefit ladies take on the Pretty Muddy course alongside the hundreds as we put our Stamp on the day. Instructor Rob warmed up the Pink Army in true Military style whilst adapting to his microphone with worrying ease, he just needed a leotard! Meanwhile our Military Instructors got amongst the runners with their assassin’s smile and water blasters and were met with smiles and giddy shrieks of laughter which said everything about the day, people were here to unite together and share in a common human goal…to defeat cancer.
Why not join us this year on 18th June at the beautiful Avenham Park Preston, you can get involved by visiting Cancer Research to book on to the Preston Mudfest!
We’ll be waiting for you on the day with encouragement in return for a few press ups!
In the meantime if you’d like to get fit for the event then why not join us at our Military Fitness Sessions at Avenham Park, your first 2 WEEKS are free without obligation on displaying your Pretty Muddy Race receipt at our Preston venue. Offer limited to the first 15 people to book on!
See you soon….water pistols ready!
Rehearsing started interestingly enough as I was assaulted by a passing Jeremy Kyle ‘lady’…..as she pinched my bum from her passing wheel chair! Anyway back to my serious practicing for Jimmy’s 30 second Military Style Workout. Jimmy approached me and asked what I had in store for him, judging by his trademark expressions I don’t think he was too impressed with my idea for Burpees and Lie To Stands in his tight trousers! However Jimmy is obviously a smart guy as he took the opportunity to ask if I had a Pull Up bar available whilst displaying his customary smile…obviously aware that this was an impossible request at such a late hour! To be fair to him I think he’d have pulled it off judging by his exemplary press ups as I reckon Jimmy had been working hard with his Personal trainer to impress me.
30 Seconds ran into 45 seconds as Jimmy’s workout started to get a little real…typically it was my luck that the countdown clock had failed to start, I mean come on! “Jimmy shall we go again seen as you did so well”, taking the opportunity to banter with Mr Carr! Jimmy looked flattered and jumped to the opportunity to show off those press ups once more. Personally I was starting to enjoy the experience as the studio audience found it all mildly amusing and my nerves dissipated. To finish the day by singing a surreal acapello version of Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up backstage with Johnny Vegas was definitely one of the funniest moments of the day. Check out our Facebook page to witness us killing Rick’s song!
