Clothing and kit Tips

You will often find yourself chatting to friends before and after the session, please bring a warm top/jacket so that you don’t get cold!

Socks

Socks are an important piece of kit! Ensure that you always wear them and don’t scrimp on quality as your feet deserve the best. A good pair of socks will give extra cushioning, protect from blisters and give extra warmth.

 

Warm weather clothing

Loose fitting clothing is fine, however technical close fitting wear does help to keep you cooler and drier.

 

Cold weather clothing

Tops

Long sleeved Base layers made from materials that draw sweat away from the body are a great piece of kit. These tops help keep you dry and retain heat without overheating! Combine these with a t-shirt or a good micro-fleece depending on your own resilience to the weather and this will be a good start.

Bottoms

Technical fabric Running Bottoms or Running Tights are ideal.

Running Jackets

A breathable & waterproof jacket is a great investment. This will keep you comfortable in the harsher weather.

Waterproof & Breathable Gloves

These will protect and keep your hands warm from the elements.

A bobble hat:

For the really cold sessions is a must!

Car seat cover & change of clothes:

A car seat cover, change of clothes and change of footwear are a good idea. You may also find it is worth bringing a towel with you in wet weather.
